X., Melesse: Itsy-bitsy inchworm,
Travelling near--Travelling near and far.
Itsy-bitsy inchworm,
Making friends with an aphid along.
Itsy-bitsy inchworm,
Where are you? I can see you.
There you are, inchworm.
Little, brown, and not have six feet.
You have eight, eight, eight.
You have eight feet to adventure far
By inch-to-inch.
You go faster than a snail,
Making friends with aphids,
Climbing upon Mt. Li-a-lac.
(P.S.S. Actually means the lilac bush.)
Itsy-bitsy inchworm,
Climbing near and far,
Chasing an aphid,
So it doesn't annoy him.
Itsy-bitsy inchworm,
Feeding on the lilac leaves.
Itsy-bitsy inchworm,
On Mt. Lilac.
(P.S.S. Remember the last time I said it?)
Itsy-bitsy inchworm,
I love you so-o-much.
Itsy-bitsy inchworm,
I think you might be too slow
For the big adventure
From here and far.
Inchy-inchy-inching,
And an aphid in a chase.
The aphid doesn't like you,
So he crawls over your tail,
As you try and find ground,
To crawl on near and far.
Itsy, itsy, itsy, itsy,
Itsy, itsy, bitsy, inchworm!
